On January 22, 2007, Luoyang LYC Bearing Co., Ltd started the batch production of 1.5 megawatts windmill bearings developed by itself and the specifications of the bearings have been appointed as the standard in China bearing industry.  This is a mark that LYC has taken the leading position in China for manufacturing windmill bearings.

It is known that the power generator will have a very high requirements on the rotating speed, accuracy, service life and reliability of the bearings in case the power generating capacity exceeds megawatts.  1.5 megawatts high power windmill bearing is up to now the biggest installed capacity bearing in China and it also represents the highest R&D level in China bearing industry.
