1. Implemented with Siemens 840D all digital 4-axis closed-loop control system.
2. Producing out any profile and pitch in a C spline interpolation manner and at least 8 mm depth can be achieved for the threaded raceway of worms.
3. The grinding of raceways and raceway rib can be processed simultaneously.
4. Workpiece feeding is driven by servo motor and the grinding speed is stepless variable.
5. Workpiece feeding, threaded worm rotation, wheel frame movement and wheelhead feeding are controlled with a 4-axis servo control system. In case wheel is worn out, the engagement movement track of the wheel and workpiece OD is corrected while the wheel is compensated.
6. Flexible design of the machine makes the job change operation very easy; just changing several parameters in the program.
7. Maximum length of workpiece is 1200 mm and maximum outside diameter 350 mm.
8. Wheel is automatically dressed by three single-point diamond pen. The OD of the wheel dressed in interpolation mode can meet the demands on different grinding curves.
